Pat Robertson at it again
Pat Robertson is all over the news again. I don’t ever watch the 700 Club, but it makes me think that Marguerite does (Trading Spouses). MSNBC reported “Conservative Christian televangelist Pat Robertson told citizens of a Pennsylvania town that they had rejected God by voting their school board out of office for supporting “intelligent design” and warned them Thursday not to be surprised if disaster struck.” Now my guess is, this is how these people get publicity. The news doesn’t cover boring, so to get on camera you have to do or say something outrageous, like Marguerite or Pat Robertson. That’s the problem though, I don’t think we should strive to be in the news. If we all did our job as Christians, the news would come to us.
Strangely enough, I think the verse of the day over at BibleGateway.com fits:
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. ”- 1 John 2:15-16

Precisely! Stay with God and do God’s bidding. God is not wrathful. Only the human ego knows wrath.
I thought he actually said that if disaster struck they shouldn’t pray because they’ve denied God’s existence (or something like that). I know he’s a bit over the top at times, but I think here he’s merely following those Pennsylvania citizens’ decision to its logical conclusion.

Yes, the verse of the day is just perfect
for this situation and EVERY situation. We
are not of this world!
Although Pat Robertson has made some very strange remarks lately, it is interesting that he has become more popular (though negetively) from it, in the secular spotlight. It then would seem he benefits from higher viewership, and so wealth, becoming a bit of a Christian Jerry Springer (where people watch simply to see foolishness). Such an odd world we live in.
Don’t love the world? How about a different attitude? Instead of promoting an Eternal Concentration Camp (Hell) - you take a moral stance and tear it apart? Learn to love… Start to recognize the immorality of concentration camps in any form, which your quote above promotes.
It would appear this Pat Robertson is a proper little Satanist.

A Christian Prophet: God is so wrathful, and vengeful. Read your bible. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in God’s wrath of unrepentant sinners. Lot’s wife turned to a pillar of salt from God’s wrath at her direct disobedience.
Oh yeah, God is wrathful, and by shutting out His word, His Blessings and God in general, people invite His wrath unto themselves, even after being warned, as Lot and his wife were warned to not look back at the cities when God provided for them to flee the wrath and destruction he set upon them.
